Webber + Studios

A garage with a guesthouse and home office and a separate studio complement a highly refined Tarrytown home.
This project added a two-story garage with guesthouse and a free-standing yoga studio to an existing home in Tarrytown. Both the home and these structures were designed by Austin architect David Webber and called for highly detailed construction. The materials on the additions repeat the same palette found on the main house: Leuders smooth-cut limestone, architectural concrete, steel, and glass. Significant challenges for the construction team waweres to correctly and efficiently sequence the building’s concrete, steel and wood structural systems, and to address drainage issues on the site. Because of the project’s fast-track schedule, the process became very collaborative, with highly skilled subcontractors contributing solutions to achieve the exacting construction the design required.
